After over a yearlong hiatus, we were back in-person for the 2021 West Michigan IT Summit hosted downtown Grand Rapids at the B.O.B.! It was revitalizing to see and interact with everyone without the confinements of a computer screen dividing us. Even those who attended WMIS felt a sense of normalcy networking with others face-to-face.
The best part of the Summit was…
“The opportunity to hear great presentations and network with humans again.”
“Meeting people in real life! The sessions were informative and insightful as was the closing keynote.”
“The wealth of information and the ability to get questions answered in real time.”
“Interacting with everyone at the event! I had the opportunity to meet tons of super amazing and local IT professionals.”
Even with the pandemic’s uncertainties, we had a record-breaking 31 sponsors, 276 attendees, 16 sessions, four networking sessions, closing keynote with Brian Krebs, two happy hours, and four post-summit dinners.
“The presentation on "Thinking Like a Cybercriminal" by Etay Maor at CATO, was the best I have heard in a long time! Excellent speaker and very engaging.”
Other top-voted sessions included Chris Nyhuis, CEO of Vigilant, “Developing a Cybersecurity Warfare Mindset”, Ray Watson, CTO of Masergy, “Ransomware: Should you pay it?”

If you didn’t get a chance to listen in on any of our top sessions, or you couldn’t make it to the summit, you’re in luck! We will be launching a VIRTUAL West Michigan IT Summit on November 18th, 2021.
